Has Billie Eilish ever won an Oscar? ("What Was I Made For?" is not her first nominated song)

The singer's Barbie tune is being recognized at the 2024 ceremony, and she's been nominated for an Academy Award once before.

I'll be honest, I never really listened to Billie Eilish before "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie movie. I always knew she was talented, but I was indifferent. Neither a fan nor a hater. But since that beautiful and emotional tune was shared with the world and I heard the cadence of her voice, you can count me in as a Billie Eilish fan for sure!

The singer's tune is nominated for Best Song at the Oscars 2024, and we couldn't be more excited! She'll also be performing the Barbie song live at the ceremony! If the Grammy's performance was anything to go by, I know this one will be amazing too. (Plus, catch Ryan Gosling performing "I'm Just Ken" live at the Academy Awards as well!)

So has Billie Eilish ever won an Oscar before? The answer is, yes! Other than "What Was I Made For?", the artist has been nominated only once before and she took home the win. That was for "No Time to Die" for the film of the same name at the 2022 awards ceremony.

Other than an Oscar, "No Time to Die" also won at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and Grammy Awards that year. She was up against "Be Alive" from King Richard, Dos Orguitas" from Encanto, "Down to Joy" from Belfast, and "Somehow You Do" from Four Good Days.

Honestly, there's a very big chance she's going to win this year as well! Look, I'm a fan of all the nominees, including Ryan Gosling's "I'm Just Ken," but "What Was I Made For?" hits different. I think that tune should take home the win for sure. The other tunes up for Best Song at the Academy Awards 2024 are "The Fire Inside" from Flamin' Hot, "It Never Went Away" from American Symphony, and "Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)" from Killers of the Flower Moon.

Cheer Billie Eilish on at the Oscars tonight, March 10, 2024 starting at 7 p.m. ET on ABC!
