Here’s when to tune in to the Young Sheldon series finale (and the surprises in store!)
At this point, we're still a ways off from the Young Sheldon series finale date. But that doesn't mean we're not thinking about the last episode of the beloved show! Since The Big Bang Theory prequel aired on CBS, it's been a success and fans are loving what's been in store for the Cooper family all these years. And soon, we're going to get an ending. At least on this chapter of the story with the Mandy and Georgie spin-off coming (more on that below!).
So when is the Young Sheldon series finale? Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 16, 2024 to tune in to the final episode of Young Sheldon season 7 and the comedy-drama as a whole. With two episodes airing back-to-back, the series is going out with a bang for an-hour filled block of Sheldon and the Coopers. Pun intended! The one-hour series finale will still begin at the show's regular timeslot of 8 p.m. ET and go on until 9 p.m. ET on CBS. That will be episodes 13 and 14 of season 7.
How to watch the last episode of Young Sheldon
Young Sheldon season 7, including the final episode, is available to watch live on CBS, which can be accessed through your cable provider. If you have one, you can either watch on TV or log in on the network's website using your TV provider credentials. CBS is also available through the following platforms: Fubo TV, DIRECTV, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV.
If streaming is your preferred option, you can do that too! Paramount+ has two tiers to choose from: Paramount+ Essential ($5.99/month, with ads) or Paramount+ with Showtime ($11.99/month, no ads except live TV). The Showtime option allows you to watch the Young Sheldon episode live, as well as on-demand the next day.
The overall story of how things come to an end hasn't been revealed yet, though it has been confirmed that George's death is unfortunately going to happen, and that Georgie and Mandy's wedding is going to be played out onscreen. With their very own spin-off confirmed (which I have certain feelings about here), it's possible we'll end Young Sheldon with the wedding. But who knows? We'll have to wait and see!
Bazinga! Jim Parsons and Mayim Bayalik will be in the series finale (in person!)
Great news The Big Bang Theory fans! Cast members Jim Parsons, who played Sheldon, and Mayim Bayalik who is Sheldon's wife Amy will reprise their roles in the series finale of Young Sheldon. In person! Parsons has been narrating the comedy-drama for seven seasons, and his onscreen wife has provided a voice cameo twice. But now, somehow Young Sheldon is going to get these two onscreen together in the final episode for the first time since Big Bang ended. And we absolutely can't wait! Perhaps there will at least be some more surprise voice cameos before the show comes to an end?
It will be interesting to see how the series pulls this off. On TBBT, some of the Young Sheldon cast was able to appear as Sheldon and Amy were watching an old VHS tape. So that made sense. But how will they portray the future Sheldon and Amy? The genius is known for having those dreams like with Professor Proton. Maybe it will be something like that? We'll have to wait and see! Click here for details on when Bialik came on as a voice cameo, as well as the other Big Bang co-stars. And there's still some others we want to see!
While not in the series finale, another familiar face will pop by before we say goodbye too. And that would be Sheldon's very first friend in high school, Tam! The actor, Ryan Phuong, will reprise his role and appear in the final season at some point. But an exact episode for his appearance hasn't been shared yet, TVLine shares. Per the news outlet, bringing him back will "be a nod" to what we learned about him on The Big Bang Theory season 12 - which is he made it on Sheldon's enemies list for not going to Caltech with him, and years later his son is thinking of attending the university.
Stay tuned to Hidden Remote as we bring you more updates about Young Sheldon season 7! The one-hour series finale date is Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Episodes stream on Paramount+ the next day.
