You get a reboot. You get a reboot! And you get a reboot! Which rebooted television shows do we want to see next?

In a time when reboots seem to be happening on a weekly basis, there are still plenty of television shows that haven’t gotten the call yet.

Will & Grace, Full House and Roseanne have all gotten the call, but what about other fan favorites like My So Called Life or even Scooby Doo? A number of shows ended before their time, getting one-season treatments, and finding fans as streaming services bring them new life.

The writers at Hidden Remote have picked 10 television shows they would like to see make a comeback to the small screen.

Show: My So Called Life

Seasons it aired: 1 (1994)

Why My So Called Life should be rebooted: My So Called Life was the show teens of a certain generation had been waiting for. The series followed a 15-year-old high school girl dealing with crushes and every thing that came with being that awkward age. The show was so well written that members of that age group were immediately drawn to it.

The writing was compelling, the actors were great in their teen angst, and it brought certain themes to the small screen that were largely ignored, including having Wilson Cruz play Rickie, a gay 15-year-old boy on network television.

My So Called Life was before its time, before teenage shows exploded on television. But despite only lasting one season with low ratings, it launched the career of Clare Danes, Jared Leto, Cruz and A.J. Langer.

It’s the perfect show to reboot because the one season always left fans wanting more, even if some of the actors weren’t keen on returning. A rebooted My So Called Life could follow one of their children going through similar trials, following their awkward stages of teendom – which many of today’s shows lack. Raw, emotional energy made My So Called Life, and it could happen again.
