Supernatural Season 13, Episode 15 airs next week and it’s time to take a look at what to expect from the episode, titled A Most Holy Man.

After a mini-Hellatus, Supernatural returned this week but we’re already looking forward to the next new episode. That airs next week and is titled “A Most Holy Man.” While the synopsis has been out for a while, the promo has now been released and it’s hard to wait for the episode.

At first, it doesn’t look like the promo for Supernatural Season 13, Episode 15 gives much a way, but then you start digging. Here’s what we can take away from the two.

More from Supernatural

It’s all about collecting the spell ingredients

After a week focused on reading the demon tablet and getting a list of ingredients for the How to Open a Rift to an Apocalypse World spell, the Winchesters are on the trail to collect ingredients. They have the majority of them, but will need to go to the black market for religious artifacts to get the last.

It looks like the item they need involves “A Most Holy Man,” and that was the last ingredient shared by Castiel. Just what does that mean at the black market and who is the holy man?

Another standalone episode

Despite being focused on collecting the ingredients, the episode also looks like it can serve as a standalone episode. It’s bringing the humor back to the show, which admittedly was missing in “Good Intentions.” At one point, Sam mimics something that Dean says to him, bringing that brotherly banter back into the show.

There’s no Castiel again

Well, okay, we can’t say this for definitely, but by the looks of the promo and synopsis for “A Most Holy Man,” Castiel isn’t going to be in the episode. That’s a shame, but also understandable. Since Misha Collins’ contract is for a smaller number of episodes than J2 (likely out of choice by the man himself), they’ll hold off many episodes for the end of the season.

No hints of the Apocalypse World

The trailer and synopsis also show everything in Sam and Dean’s world. This suggests that we won’t be taking a look into the Apocalypse World again. It’s a shame, because this world is growing by the episode. This last episode saw the return of Apocalypse Bobby and it looks like he’ll be around for a tiny bit longer. We need to learn more about this world right now!

An iZombie guest star appears

The trailer shows Leanne Lapp in the episode. She’s best known to The CW fans as iZombie’s Gilda/Rita. However, the character didn’t fair well in the zombie program. Chances are she’ll play a similar character in Supernatural—the confident, sassy and upper class personality. She’ll come in as Margaret Astor and it will be interesting if this somehow connects to the Astor family of Titanic era.

Oh, and Lapp was also in Eric Kripke’s Timeless, so yet another cool connection between these two shows.

Another week to see Heaven & Hell storylines

As well as no Castiel or Apocalypse World, it looks like it will be another week until we see Lucifer and Sister Jo/Anael again. This is going to be disappointing, since Lucifer’s storyline was heating up just before the break. With the next episode the Supernatural-Scooby Doo crossover, it means we won’t see Lucifer back until Episode 17.

Also, there doesn’t look to be any mention of Asmodeus and Ketch. That means we’ll have to wait until Episode 17 to find out more about how Gabriel is still alive. Although, Ketch could appear as a guest star in the upcoming episode since it’s black market and religious artifacts and all that!

Here’s a look at the promo and synopsis so you can make a few deductions yourself.

"Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are close to collecting everything they need to open a rift into the apocalyptic world and possibly rescuing Mary (guest star Samantha Smith) and Jack (Alexander Calvert). The one missing ingredient leads the Winchesters to a black market for religious relics where everything is not always as it seems."
