Supernatural Season 2 Episode 14 made us worry that Sam was turning evil. It turned out to be just a demon possession with a twist.

When we first watched Supernatural Season 2, Episode 14, we couldn’t help but fear the worst. It looked like the visions in Sammy had turned him evil. He was now becoming like many of the other psychic kids and Dean would need to go through with the thing John had asked of him. It turned out to be a demonic possession with a twist, but there was still that underlying fear.

There were some standout lines for all types of reasons in “Born Under a Bad Sign.” Here’s a look at the five best from the episode.

Hey, whoa, whoa, come on man, let’s not jump the gun here. We don’t know what happened. We’ve just got to treat this like, like any other job. What’s the last thing you remember?

Dean refused to believe the idea that his brother could be evil. He didn’t even want to think that he’d have to kill his brother; that wasn’t an option. In a way to delay the potential inevitable, he decided to treat it like a normal job. Of course, there was some leeway. We all know when it comes to anyone else, he doesn’t give the benefit of the doubt.

What’s going on with you, Sam? Hm? ‘Cause smoking, throwing bottles at people, I mean, that sounds more like me than you.

Fun fact: Dean was supposed to smoke and have tattoos. This line might have meant a lot more had his character kept the original trait of a smoker. However, it’s still a standout line and everything we were thinking when hearing Sam was throwing bottles at people. And yes, this is something Deanmon does in Supernatural Season 10!

Hi, um, so sorry to bother you, but uh, my son snuck out of the house last night and, uh, went to a Justin Timberlake concert. (pause) What? Yeah. No, Justin is quite the triple threat. Uh, anyway, he’s not back yet, and, and I’m just, I’m starting to worry.

This certainly made you wonder all the other stories Dean has told to get information he shouldn’t have. It also makes you wonder about the ease of that information being given out. Seriously? How did anyone believe him that he had a son old enough to sneak out to a Justin Timberlake concert?

My Daddy shot your daddy in the head…

Jared Padalecki can do creepy extremely well. This was one of the first times we saw it. As he taunted Jo, he had a sing-song voice with this line; almost like a child would say in the playground. Don’t tell me it didn’t send shivers up your spine and hint at the things that could possibly come in the future.

A little holy water in the beer. Sam never would have noticed. But then, you’re not Sam are you. Don’t try to con a con man.

Bobby is one extremely smart man. What tipped him off to Sam potentially being a demon? Well, Dean likely called Bobby too–but we only saw him call Ellen. Bobby would have been ready, especially with Sam turning up on his own. The “don’t try to con a con man” was the perfect line from him, though.
