Roseanne is renewed and returns for Season 11

Roseanne continues to be special.

There are shows that test the strength of time. Roseanne is one of those shows. Proof? When they first brought it back from its slumber it was originally slotted for eight episodes, but before airing this season, ABC gave them an additional one.

It appears that ABC knew what they had. The return came on Tuesday night, and it attracted 18 million people. Yes, 18 million individuals turned on the Conners. It comes as no surprise. The show brought back the heart it grew from. I grew up watching the show and felt as though I was right back in that living room, just 20-years later.

The chemistry between all the actors has not changed. Roseanne and Jackie are more serene but that is probably from the wisdom of elder age. Dan, however, is saltierspec. Probably because he has still work to do in the drywall business.

Darlene is struggling hard. She felt that her life has not been the success she thought it would be. She is also without a mate, has two children, and no job. Becky is now being courted to be the surrogate mother for Andrea. Which is an interesting twist since both actresses played the role of Becky. DJ’s storyline is basically non-existent. Married, with one child, and left the Army a few months ago. Hopefully, we will hear more soon.

Darlene’s children are very creative. Harris is certainly her mother’s child. You can see her attitude and stubbornness shine through. Mark is about off-center as you can get. He loves woman’s fashion and is secure in his manhood. Something you don’t see from a tween.

Season 11 of Roseanne should return all the characters. I wouldn’t doubt it either. All of them have that wonderful kinship and love to work together.
