Funeralia brought another character back from the dead, while giving Rowena a heartbreaking storyline that left the fans feeling sorry for her. Here are the best lines from the night.

Supernatural Season 13 has pulled out the punches. It’s been a season of throwbacks to the past, risky attempts to add new flare, and a number of dead characters making a comeback. Episode 19 was no different, with a certain hated angel making her comeback and Rowena getting a storyline that left us all heartbroken for her.

With that in mind, it’s time to look at the best lines from Thursday night’s episode. Here are the six that stand out from “Funeralia.”

I want the fun, flirty Rowena that mostly helps us, but you’ve got to be ready for not that.

It’s not often that Dean likes to work with people who have done them wrong in the past. However, Rowena is a different kettle of fish. She’s proven that when she wants to, she can definitely work on the side of good. To be honest, her character has never really been evil; she’s just selfish and wants power. Supernatural Season 13 continued that, but Dean reminded Sam to expect the dark Rowena, just in case.

You know she’s right. You never go to parties.

It’s hard to pick from some of the excellent lines that Castiel had in this episode. I did love the fact that he explained one of his sporting references to Dean, just in case Dean didn’t understand, but this one made me laugh out loud. Not only did he confirm that Rowena was right about something, but it was about something as small as parties.

I’m especially fond of Sam’s impressive…extensive array of hair products.

Jessica, the reaper, said everything we’ve thought about Sam and his hair. Now we need to know all about those products. Seriously! I need my hair to look as good as Sam’s, so it’s about time he brought out a line. I’m sure plenty Supernatural fans would buy it!

I was relieved to hear you were dead

And at this point, Castiel said everything that we were thinking when Naomi was revealed to be the angel in charge and still alive. I do love how we got a flashback of her death, just in case we could forget all about the atrocious things she did to our angel!

Are only Winchesters allowed to come back from the dead? The rest of us just have to accept it.

This is a very poignant line for the series, but also made a suggestion about others who can be classed as Winchesters. All Rowena wanted was to bring Crowley back from the dead. Killing reapers (and Big Pharma bad guys) was her way of getting Death’s attention. Crowley wasn’t a Winchester, so everyone should accept he’s gone. Of course, nobody has question why Castiel didn’t just accept things, so he is officially a Winchester.

I’m a flawed, petty, evil creature, Samuel. And I don’t know if I can be redeemed. But I have to try.

Ruth Connell was given a lot of juicy material in Supernatural Season 13, Episode 19. This was just another of her lines that stood out. While she doesn’t think she can be redeemed, she has offered to try. Sometimes that’s all you can ask of someone. Rowena is now part of Team Free Will 2.0, so there is definitely some help.

Sometimes life is unfair. And sometimes we lose things. And sometimes we make mistakes. And some of these things can never be fixed no matter how powerful you become. Some things just are and everyone has to live with that.

I get the feeling that this line wasn’t just for Rowena. Death was making a point about life in general. It can be awful and unfair. We don’t get what we want and not everything can be fixed. For Rowena, this was all about trying to bring back Crowley. For us, well, it’s just about life; about handling our mistakes and not trying to fix everyone to support our views. Maybe I was just reading into this epic line too much…
