The Big Bang Theory Season 11, Episode 23 recap

This week on The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon is forced to face his brother, and the rest of the crew get pink eye. Find out how it all went down on the latest episode!
On the previous episode of The Big Bang Theory, Sheldon tried to fundraise a ludicrous amount of money for his scientific research, and Amy and the girls said yes to a crazy looking dress. This week brings us extremely close to the Cooper wedding with all the loose ends wrapping up. The final notch appears to be a mending between brothers.

Big brother blues
This week’s episode of Big Bang Theory begins with Sheldon on the phone in a fight with his mom. His mom is insistent that he invite his brother to his wedding. Sheldon is throwing a tantrum because his “mommy is making him” even though his brother was so mean to him the whole time he was growing up. His mom refuses to come unless his brother is invited. When Sheldon tries to invite his brother Georgie, Georgie avoids his calls.
Finally, Sheldon flies to Texas with Leonard to try and invite him. Georgie is less than thrilled when Sheldon shows up to Texas. When he refuses to come to the wedding, their mom refuses to get in the middle and insists they need to deal with it on their own. Leonard offers to see if he can convince George to attend. Leonard quickly realizes he has more in common with George when they both realize Sheldon has never told them thank you. After, Sheldon sincerely realizes he is wrong and apologizes George agrees to come to the wedding.
Welcome bags and pink eye
Meanwhile, the girls are putting together welcome bags for Sheldon and Amy’s big day. Also, both Bernadette and Howard’s babies have pink eye, and Amy won’t let Howard anywhere near her for fear she will catch pink eye with the wedding only a week away. Penny pulls out all the stops as Maid of Honor and forces Howard away from Amy. It’s too late! Amy has already been exposed to pink eye because Bernadette caught it, who then gives it to Amy! Amy is worried Sheldon won’t come back to Texas in time for the wedding when he finds out she has pink eye.

Bernadette suggests that they can tell him “the theme of the wedding is Walking Dead, and this is their zombie makeup.” Amy is also able to convince Sheldon that since he and his brother made up, he and Leonard should stay in Texas for a few more days. Thus, she manages to dodge the “pink eye bullet” and Sheldon will never know.
And the Bachelor is…Raj
Raj is on the hunt for a date to Sheldon and Amy’s wedding because “he doesn’t want to be the pathetic one that everyone pities.” He finally finds a girl to take to get coffee. He whines that “there isn’t somewhere to pay for companionship” and Bernadette quickly points out that he is referring to an escort service. When Raj catches pink eye, his coffee date is ruined because “his eye dripped into her latte.” When Raj meets a random girl at the pharmacy who also has pink eye, he asks her if she would like to go to the wedding with him. Hopefully, next week she will have said yes, and Raj will have his plus one.

Final Thoughts
I am so ready to see what Sheldon and Amy’s wedding looks like! I hope Sheldon doesn’t get cold feet. Raj better get a date, the poor guy needs something going for him! Also, will the gang get over pink eye before the wedding or will all the pictures be full of puss-filled pupils? This episode was full of funny but sweet moments and I am hoping the wedding is too!
