Who are the best moms currently on TV? With so many shows on television these days, it may be hard to narrow down the list, but we picked seven of the best TV moms.

What makes a good TV mom? The same thing that makes the best real moms! Women who make great role models for their children.

Because these are television shows, these moms will make mistakes – in nearly every episode – but they know how to ask for forgiveness and to forgive. They know when to push and when to let go. These TV moms help shape the characters we love.

These aren’t the days of June Cleaver anymore, but we love these working moms, stay-at-home moms and everything in between. Here’s a look at the seven best current TV moms.

Why Rainbow Johnson is the best TV mom: Rainbow Johnson is the type of TV mom we could all imagine having – or wishing we had.

Throughout Black-ish’s four seasons, Rainbow has been the rock of the Johnson family. She’s been kind, supportive and a fashionista. Given the sitcom status of Black-ish, she certainly brings her share of the laughs. But what makes Bow great is that even though her and Dre don’t always see eye-to-eye, they do what’s best for the family. Being the best mom to her children comes first while everything is secondary.

Rainbow also envisions a better future for kids. As a bi-racial mom, she sees the world in different ways, but is not blind to the racial division across the country. She face racism, but still has hope her children will live in a better future.

Her reactions to being a mom of five kids, and a mom to a newborn are very real. She does everything she can to be the best mom she can, and even sometimes that doesn’t feel enough. We salute Rainbow Johnson as one of the best TV moms because all mothers have been in her shoes. She helps cast the list that it’s OK not to be perfect. It’s OK to make mistakes. And it’s OK to ask for help.

It’s OK to be funny and smart. It’s OK to love your children with all your heart.

Rainbow Johnson is a super TV mom.
