For those who missed it, #SPNPitt took place over the weekend. Alexander Calvert answered questions about Jack in Supernatural Season 13 and one answer summed the character up perfectly.

When Alexander Calvert joined Supernatural Season 13, we didn’t really know what to expect. Jack was the son of Lucifer and that should have meant danger. To top it off, this baby was a young adult with the mind of a child, learning the world through the eyes of those he came upon. At first, he looked evil but it soon turned out that he had learned more from Kelly and “his father” than we initially gave him credit for.

While at #SPNPitt, the actor took to the stage to share more about his time on Supernatural Season 13 and his character. Calvert had a panel of his own, answer fans’ questions about what it was like to join the SPNFamily and what it was like playing Jack.

More from Supernatural

One answer summed Jack up perfectly. It also showed the type of roles Calvert has done in the past and why we weren’t too sure of what to expect at first.

We just have to look at Calvert’s time on Arrow to see how he’s originally played murderers. He was Lonnie Machin in the series, with the alter-ego Anarky. He joins H.I.V.E. at first but later goes on a mission to destroy H.I.V.E. and Arrow.

Many of his characters in the past have been dark and had deep secrets that make them dangerous. Naturally, we expected much of the same from him in Supernatural Season 13. Instead, we got our nougat-loving nephilim who we will happily have back for another year.
