Will SDCC 2018 give us more details on the shorter episode order for Supernatural Season 14?
One of the biggest things about Supernatural Season 14 has nothing to do with the plot. It’s all about the episode order. Will this be discussed at SDCC 2018?
There are many questions surrounding Supernatural Season 14. While most do surround the plot line and events left open from the Season 13 finale, there’s one big non-plot question: why is the season order short? Since the beginning, we’ve had 22-23 episodes per season (bar Season 3 for understandable reasons), so why do we get 20 episodes all of a sudden?
This could be something that is raised at SDCC 2018. After all, this is the place for many questions about the upcoming season to be raised. Other CW shows have announced things like shows being their final seasons and spin-off ideas coming to light, so why not a discussion about the shorter season?

So far, The CW has been quiet over the shorter episode order. There are many theories about why it’s the shortest season in a decade, with many believing that this is to allow the actors more time with their families. Others are worried that it will be the last season of the show and this is a way to hint that. If so, hopefully, this will be mentioned at SDCC 2018, but we certainly hope that there’s going to be at least one more season of the Winchesters after Supernatural Season 14.

There are going to be plenty of questions asked during the panel at SDCC 2018. With only an hour, there may not be time for all the questions, but this is an important one. All we want is the knowledge that this isn’t a bad thing for the show.
