Hulu July 2018: What is coming and what is leaving?

This July, Hulu has added a cornucopia of  movies and television shows to stream over the dog days of summer including their own new J.J. Abrams and Stephen King original series called Castle Rock.

Unlike other Stephen King inspired productions, Castle Rock is not based on any of King’s books. Instead, it is based on the horror fiction writer’s best-selling characters and universe. Add the J.J. Abrams magic touch, and this promises to be a highly entertaining new series.

Besides Castle Rock, two other Hulu original series include the period series Harlots, starring Liv Tyler and the comedy Casual will be streaming in July. 

In addition, the Woody Allen favorite, Midnight In Paris is arriving, as are the two Billy Crystal and Robert DiNiro comedies Analyze This and Analyze That. Those who want to crank it up to 11 will be excited for This Is Spinal Tap.

Riverdale fans may want to check out the John Hughes 80s favorite,  Pretty in Pink starring Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy and James Spader. And what is summer without some baseball? The Bad News Bears will certainly entertain the whole family with the tale of the worst baseball team ever.

There are plenty of television shows to stream including UnREAL Season 3 and The Last Ship Season 4. Then there are the reality shows including The Curse of Oak Island season 4, season 13 of Pawn Stars, as well as Little Women: Atlanta Season 3 and the first two seasons of Little Women: Dallas. 

As for programming that is leaving at the end of July, Jane Austen fans have until the end of July to stream the Pride and Prejudice Bollywood reimagination of Bride and Prejudice, as well as Mansfield Park.  Get your tissues out for Julia Roberts in Steel Magnolias for that last good cry, and relish in the victory of Braveheart one more time.
