Supernatural Season 2 and 3 guest star, Sterling K. Brown, lands a nod at the Emmys 2018. Who is he up against and could he win?

While Supernatural didn’t directly get a look-in at the Emmys 2018, a former guest star on the series did. It just so happens to be a guest star we’ve seen pop up in recent recaps, as we’ve focused on Season 3 recently. Yes, it’s all about Sterling K. Brown, who we best know as Gordon Walker. He’s now on This Is Us as Randall Pearson.

He’s come a long way since being a thorn in the Winchesters’ sides. Now he’s one of the Big Three in the series, with a number of juicy storylines over the last two years. As the adopted son out of the three, his first storyline was focused on finding his biological father and dealing with the knowledge that his father was dying of cancer.

Brown has a little bit of competition, but he can certainly stand his own. One of his co-stars, Heroes‘ Milo Ventimiglia, has also been nominated for the same award, which is Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. The two will go up against The Ozark‘s Jason Bateman, The Americans‘ Matthew Rhys, and Westworld‘s Ed Harris and Jeffrey Wright.

While we can’t have one of our own nominated, we can at least enjoy that a former Supernatural guest star is getting the recognition he deserves. We wish you all the best, Sterling!
