Gordon broke out of jail and made a return in Supernatural Season 3, Episode 7. It led to a fight to the death between him and Sam.

After proving to be a threat, Gordon Walker made a return and this time it became a fight to the death. There was an element of poetic justice for Gordon, as his story wrapped with the same creature that brought him into the hunting world in the first place: the vampire. And just like his first episode, his last episode included an actress from Buffy the Vampire Slayer playing a vampire.

Of course, none of this could have been planned; maybe hoped for but never planned. However, it did give us an exciting episode, as we watched Sam and Gordon fight to the death.

Gordon Walker escapes prison

The last we’d left Gordon in Supernatural Season 3, he was in prison. Well, he managed to escape and decided to track down Bela. It was only when he threatened to shoot her that she shared their whereabouts, once again putting her own life before everything.

As for the Winchesters, they’re dealing with a vampire. Dean is able to cut himself to encourage the vampire to come to him, inject her with dead man’s blood to weaken her, and then take her somewhere for interrogation. The vampire, Lucy, has no idea what’s actually happening to her. Her drink had been spiked and she woke up this way. She just thinks that she’s extremely high on a drug and all that’s left is to kill her.

As for Lucy’s victims, one of them is alive and at the hospital, where Gordon and Kubrick go. They find out it was the Winchesters who helped him.

The Winchesters, meanwhile, find a man that fits the description Lucy gave of the man who turned her. Just as the guy is trying to lure another woman, the Winchesters stop him. However, Gordon and Kubrick get in the way. This gives the vampire, Dixon, a chance to kidnap Gordon and get away.

Gordon is turned

Dixon is creating a new nest since hunters had killed his own, and Gordon becomes one of his latest victims. It’s his just desserts in a way, turning him into the creature that he’s focused on hunting after his sister’s death.

Figuring out Bela was the one to tell Gordon where they were, the Winchesters threaten to kill her. However, Bela uses a Ouija board to get in touch with a spirit to find out Gordon’s location. While giving the location, the spirit also warns that the Winchesters should stay away.

By the time the Winchesters get to the location, Gordon has gone. He’s killed Dixon’s latest females he’d turned and headed off to Kubrick. When Kubrick wants to kill Gordon (since he is a vampire now), Gordon kills Kubrick first. All he wants is to kill Sam and then he’ll die.

It doesn’t take long for Gordon to call the WInchesters to tell them where he is and that he has a victim. Of course, it’s a trap but the Winchesters go anyway. When they get there, the two are separated and Sam is trapped in a room with Gordon. Dean, meanwhile, is trapped in another part of the building with a newly turned vampire. Dean has no choice but to kill the girl with the Colt.

As for Sam, he’s able to fight off Gordon long enough for Dean to get to him. Together, they’re able to take down Gordon, decapitating him with barbed wire.

In the end, Dean decides it’s time to teach Sam how to work on the Impala. This is something that Sam will need to know when Dean is gone and it’s a beautiful brotherly moment between the two.
