Supernatural fans need to wait until tomorrow for their panel, but there’s plenty to do today at SDCC 2018. One of the panels that may interest you is the Wynonna Earp one, which is going into its third season on SYFY.
Why Wynonna Earp? The biggest reason is the series star is a former Supernatural guest star. Don’t worry if you haven’t realized before. Melanie Scrofano was only in one episode of SPN and that was more than 10 years ago. Her character didn’t even have a name but was important for Dean.

I’m talking about Supernatural Season 2, Episode 20. Scrofano played the near-dead girl in “What Is and What Should Never Be;” the one that was also stuck in her own wish world thanks to the djinn. Every now and then, she appeared in Dean’s wish world and was a hint that things weren’t as they seemed.
Now she’s leading her own show and it’s one of the most underrated series on TV. There’s even a Supernatural element to the show in the form of Purgatory, Wynonna Earp’s hometown. Wynonna is a demon protector and she needs to take out the Revenants, criminals’ souls that have been resurrected. Wynonna and her sister Waverly team with Doc Holliday and Xavier Dolls as they all take down the Revenants in the world. She even kills demons with a Colt!
If you haven’t seen Wynonna Earp yet, I highly recommend it as something to get you through Hellatus. And you’ll want to check out the panel at SDCC 2018. While there will be a few spoilers and teases for the third season, they won’t spoil too much from the first season, especially the first episodes.
