SDCC 2018: An Scooby alternate on Sunday morning for Supernatural fans

The Supernatural SDCC 2018 panel will take place on Sunday morning. What if you don’t think you’ll get in? There’s a Scooby-Doo option instead.

Sunday morning will see a long line for Hall H. It’s the Supernatural panel, which was so popular last year that people queued up at ridiculous times in the morning. If you’re not willing to queue that long and feel like you’re going to miss out, you may want to plan ahead slightly. For those who feel like they’re just not going to stand a chance this year–or want to offer others the chance they had last year–then you could consider a special Scooby-Doo screening instead.

This is also going to be the perfect alternate panel for those who have children and don’t feel like the Supernatural one will be appropriate. I know if I was at Comic-Con 2018 this year, I’d be seriously considering this one for the kids!

SDCC 2018 will see an exclusive screening of Scooby-Doo and the Gourmet Ghost. The movie isn’t set to come out on digital until August 28, but you’ll get to see it live at Comic-Con. You’ll get all the voices you’re familiar with from “Scoobynatural,” too! Yep, Matthew Lillard, Grey Griffin, Frank Welker (who has been part of Scooby for 50 years), and Kate Micucci will all voice their characters again.

Scooby-Doo and the Gourmet Ghosts sees the Scooby Gang head to New England to investigate a colonial inn that’s supposedly haunted. Now turned into a culinary resort, they’ll need to put their strengths to the test to figure out the real man behind the mask. Fortunately, without the Winchesters, they really are likely dealing with just a man behind the mask!

The downside to the screening time is you’ll need to decide if you stand a chance of getting into Supernatural or not. Scooby-Doo starts at 10:00 a.m. PT, which is 30 minutes before the Winchesters and co. take to the stage. This may be something you play by ear when you see the queues. But it gives you something if you sleep through your alarm on the day.
