A new batch of movies is coming our way via Netflix! What should you watch?

Netflix’s massive selection of films will be growing even more come August. You may take a look at everything leaving and coming to the streaming service in August, here. But if you’re searching for a shortlist of movie recommendation and popular titles for the new month, we’ve got your back!

Summer time is for fun in the sun! But when the day is over (or if it’s just too hot outside), there’s no better place than a comfy couch to watch a movie! And thanks to Netflix, you’ll have plenty to choose from in August.
Here are five movies not to miss…

More from Netflix

Batman Begins

Coming to Netflix: August 1

Batman Begins was streaming on Netflix just earlier last year, but was removed. However, with the DC Universe being a hot topic lately (whether the reports are negative or positive), it’s coming back to show DC how it’s done! The movie (2005) stars the only Batman we’ve ever loved, Christian Bale, as well as Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, and Gary Oldman.

Batman Begins is followed by The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. But if you wanted to binge-watch all three on Netflix, that won’t be possible. Only the first movie will be available to stream.

Princess Diaries 2

Coming to Netflix: August 1

You may not be able to watch the Dark Knight trilogy back-to-back, but you can definitely watch The Princess Diaries AND The Princess Diaries 2! The first one joined the streaming service in July, and the sequel will arrive first thing this August! Best part about it? Chris Pine! Just saying.

Like Father

Coming to Netflix: August 3

Once you’re caught up on the nostalgic fun, check out Like Father, a Netflix Original. The movie stars Kristen Bell, a woman left at the altar on her wedding day. Her father (Kelsey Grammer) shows up after not seeing his daughter in decades and, after a one too many drinks, the two end up on a cruise that was supposed to be her honeymoon. Will the cruise bring this father-daughter duo together or shift them apart even more?

The Package

Coming to Netflix: August 10

The Package is another fun Netflix Original coming soon. It follows five teenagers going on a camping trip for spring break. From the trailer, the plot may not appear too complicated — just a few friends down for a good time. But, as you can see from the trailer, there’s something being hidden from viewers. What is “the package”? We’ll have to watch to find out!

To All The Boy I’ve Loved Before

Coming to Netflix: August 17

Ever had a secret you didn’t want out in the world suddenly…out in the world? That’s what happens to Lara Jean in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. She writes love letters to her five crushes, never intending on giving them out. However, mysteriously, the letters reach all five.

What are you most looking forward to watching in August?
