Everything coming to and leaving Netflix in August 2018
We finally have the list of shows and movies coming to and leaving Netflix in August 2018. It’s setting up to be a fun and controversial month for the streaming service.
Netflix in August 2018 will see one of the most controversial additions to the service. It’s also an exciting time for those who love animated comedy. Here’s a look at everything leaving and coming to the service next month.
It’s not even made its way to the service yet and 100,000 people are already calling for Insatiable to be removed. This is before anyone has had a chance to see anything more than the promo. When the promo dropped last week, it immediately received a bunch of criticism. Fans were angry that this was another series focusing on fat shaming and showing revenge is only possible when you lose weight and look hot.
However, Alyssa Milano has spoken out in defense of the series. The showrunner/writer and lead star have also spoken out. But that hasn’t stopped the backlash.
More from Netflix
- Bridgerton season 3: All the details to know about Penelope and Colin’s love story
- It’s a slow week on Netflix with only three new releases (Nov. 20)
- Exploding Kittens: From card game to Netflix animated series starring Tom Ellis
- The Crown and more Netflix shows and movies to stream this week (November 13)
- Escaping Twin Flames and more harrowing love-centered documentaries to watch on Netflix
Insatiable isn’t the only notable arrival to Netflix in August 2018. Disenchantment is also making its way to the service, which is the latest animated comedy for fans to dig their teeth into. We also can’t overlook the fact that Ozark Season 2 is finally dropping onto the service.
For those who want to catch something that’s on regular TV and finally dropping onto the service, there are two CW shows making their way. The 100 Season 5 and The Originals‘ final season will both drop later this month.
As for the exits, you’ll want to keep an eye on just one: Finding Dory. Like many other Disney movies, this one is leaving the service. It feels like only yesterday that it was added and it’s not surprising that it’s going. Disney is looking at creating its own streaming service, so of course it’s taking its movies and shows off third-party ones.
Here’s your complete list of movies and TV shows coming to and leaving Netflix next month. Get the dates in your diary so you don’t miss out on the exits.
