We love the Teen Titans Go! to the Movies movie, but will the original Teen Titans animated series return for season six?

Fans were heartbroken when Teen Titans left Cartoon Network after five season. The animated series ran from 2003-2006, and instantly became a culture phenomenon. Today, reruns still air on the network, and you bet we stay and watch if we catch an episode on. The love fans have for the series has only grown since its cancellation, and fans have not stopped hoping the series would one day return.

The silly, far less serious, cartoon Teen Titans Go! premiered on the same network back in April 2013, but it simply isn’t the same. While the characters are goofy, fun, and perfect for young children, we want our original Teen Titans back! Well, the OG Beast Boy, Starfire, Raven, and Robin may finally be returning. Maybe.

Earlier last month, Tara Strong, who voices Raven on both Teen Titans and its spin-off, shared that season 6 would happen if TTGTTM does well in theaters. Check out the tweet for yourself in case you missed it, below:

That was last month, though! Have we heard anything else? Even better, Teen Titans fans! Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched TTGTTM…

Like most movies nowadays, the credits of TTGTTM have a bonus scene! What is it? We can hear the voice of the Titans as we see a fuzzy, staticky video come to focus. Finally, a clear image — it’s the original Teen Titans! They don’t say much, but the final words are from Robin: “This is the Teen Titans, can anyone hear us? We think we found a way back!”

Found a way back? To Cartoon Network? Will the animated series kick off with season six? It IS coming back, right? We definitely think so! They wouldn’t include this scene to simply tease us! If Tara Strong brought it up AND they added this post-credit snippet, it’s for a reason.

Teen Titans Go! to the Movies is now playing in theaters everywhere.
