Supernatural conventions heading to Toronto for the last time

Creation Ent didn’t take the Supernatural conventions to Toronto in 2018. The con is back for 2019 but it’s bittersweet, as it’s the last ever official Toronto con for the SPN Family.

Supernatural fans know that the only way to see Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki at conventions is to head to a Creation Ent con (unless you’re going to SDCC). The locations in Canada are limited, usually just Vancouver and Toronto. The East Coasters have missed out in 2018, as Creation Ent decided not to return to Ontario’s capital but the location is back on the map for 2019.

There’s some bittersweet news here, though. While Supernatural conventions are heading back to Toronto in 2019, it’s going to be the last one.

It’s not clear why, but this could be linked to the fact that Jensen and Jared have opted to reduce the season order slightly to spend more time with family. Creation Ent also states that there will be fewer conventions throughout the year than there have been in the past, hinting that the lead actors are focusing more on quality family time. This is completely understandable, as the conventions take up the weekend that they would otherwise be at home with their young families.

Currently, only the Gold Packages are available for the Toronto Supernatural conventions. Silver, Copper, and other packages will open at a later date. The Gold and Silver packages are necessary if you want to get Jensen Ackles’ and Jared Padalecki’s autograph. They also tend to include autographs of other guests at the con, including Misha Collins, Adam Fergus, and David Haydn-Jones.

Yes, considering I live a 4-hour drive from the city, I’m definitely disappointed. Because it’s the last one, I’m likely going to be getting my tickets to my first (and likely only) Creation Ent convention. I’ll let you know closer to the date if I’ve snagged a ticket (or four for the whole family!)
