Supernatural Season 13 deleted scene shows heartfelt moment with Missouri

There’s no denying that there just wasn’t enough Missouri Moseley in Supernatural Season 13. It begs the question why this beautiful moment was missing from Episode 3.

Supernatural Season 13, Episode 3 gave us Missouri Moseley back for an act. That was it. The episode titled “Patience” saw Missouri call on Dean for help and then die after more than a decade wondering about her.

Well, now we get a little more with a Supernatural Season 13 deleted scene. Released by SYFY Wire, the scene gives us a heartfelt moment between Missouri and Dean, as she shares that his father would have been proud of him.

Sure enough, Dean has always searched for approval of his father. One thing I hate whenever I watch the first season is the lack of approval ever given. Dean followed orders 99% of the time and all John picked up on was mistakes.

However, while that heartfelt moment is cute, there’s a bittersweetness to this Supernatural Season 13 deleted scene. Most of us wanted more Missouri in this episode. We’d spent the summer looking forward to her returning. The showrunners made a huge deal about her character coming back.

And then we were treated to an act, with her death offscreen. It’s okay to admit that you felt cheated and disappointed in it all. I was angry when I finally had to accept that Missouri was definitely gone. I’d rather have not had her back at all then have her back for a couple of minutes just to kill her off!

The last seconds of the deleted scene are also extremely telling. Just look at Missouri’s expression as she turns her back on Dean and Jody!
