8. Crowley

I was never going to miss the best King of Hell off the list, was I? You’ll need to think back to Supernatural Season 5 for this introduction. “Abandon All Hope” was the episode, despite hearing about Crowley for some time before.

More from Supernatural

He was nothing we expected from the description and that’s what made this introduction so great. It was clear he was respected and feared. There was power there and a lot of that power came from how much he planned ahead.

Knowing he needed Lucifer out, he gave the Winchesters the Colt. However, the friendship wouldn’t last and we’d see his true colors. Crowley was only ever out for himself and his introduction always hinted at that.

7. Rowena

After Crowley comes Rowena. The King of Hell’s mother had an excellent introduction showing us the type of character she would become–feared, powerful, and classic. She would become one of the antagonists of Supernatural Season 10 and it was clear from her introduction in Episode 3, “Soul Survivor.”

Rowena didn’t have any lines in this introduction and she didn’t need them. She sipped on brandy while reading a book and listening to classical music. As the camera panned around her, a droplet of blood falls on her arm and she just wipes it away without a care. When we see the bodies, we know that this is a woman we should be worried about.
