The SEAL Team Season 1 finale wrapped with the team returning home. Just what’s in store for them there when SEAL Team Season 2 premieres.

We left the team returning home after an intense but exciting season. SEAL Team Season 2 premieres next month, bringing that drama, heroism, and conflict back. But where is the team going into the season?

The first thing to get out of the way is the awesome promotion for Judd Lormand, who will be a series regular. He played Lieutenant Blackburn and was in every single episode as a “recurring” character last season. As the kind-hearted, passionate, team-player leader, he stood out as one of the good officers, so it will be exciting to see him more in the upcoming season.

Now that I’ve looked at the best news, it’s time to look at the team. The boys are back after their highs and lows on deployment. Jason will have to deal with the aftermath of that head injury. There are a lot of emotions to work through and his separation from Alanna will have to come up at some point.

Ray is dealing with his shoulder injury still, which did lead to the accidental death of a young boy because of his poorly-thrown grenade. He’s dealing with the knowledge of killing someone and even admitted the truth. However, it’s all been swept under the carpet and he’s allowed to stay in.

While that’s good for his family, will it bring up some questions in SEAL Team Season 2 about how situations are handled? Also, there’s still the aftermath between Jason and Ray. That trust was broken and the released promo makes it clear that Jason is struggling to move on from that.

Sonny didn’t get as much screen time as I’d have liked to see in the first season, so I’m certainly hoping for more in the second. I’ve been an A.J. Buckley fan since his days on Supernatural and followed him on CSI: New York, so he’s hoping to more of him on the screen.

The last of the boys is Clay, who will likely have to deal with his own personal life. He and Stella struggled to deal with their first deployment while together. The truth about the professor she works with is also likely to come out, which will mean some trust issues between Clay and Lisa moving forward. Will Stella be able to deal with Clay constantly coming and going at a moment’s notice?

Then there’s Lisa, who will have to deal with the aftermath of Danny’s overdose. We last saw her at the hospital, looking at an unconscious Danny. Right now, the full details of what happened to him aren’t known. Is this something we’ll learn more about in SEAL Team Season 2?

Finally, there’s Mandy, who managed to help Jason get to the bottom of why Echo Team were killed in an ambush thanks to her relationship with the journalist Paul. That relationship did end up positively, so there’s a chance Paul will come back again in the second season. However, Mandy has her own life too. We haven’t heard much about her, except the interrogation training she went through in the CIA, so there’s plenty to explore and that’s hopefully going to be the case.

SEAL Team Season 2, Episode 1 is titled “Fractured” and will see the team head to save American hostages on an oil platform that is overrun with militants.
