Following the official release date of the third installment of Bernard Cornwell’s novel series, The Last Kingdom, more information has been released. Hidden Remote has exclusive first look images of the new characters who are set to appear in the Netflix Original series.
Season 3 of The Last Kingdom will see King Alfred considering his legacy. He has always had the dream of a united England, but with that dream being put into jeopardy by continuous attacks by the Danes, he must consider greatly what he does now. He knows who he must put his trust in, but with tensions between him and Uthred rising, is it even possible for them to work as one?

New additions to Season 3 will include, Ola Rapace (Skyfall), who will play Danish warrior Bloodhair. Thea Sofie Loch Naess, (One Night in Oslo), who will play a dangerous seer called Skade. Timothy Innes, (Harlots), will play King Alfred’s heir Edward, and our final new character will be played by Magnus Bruun, (Sprinter Galore and The Bridge), called Cnut.

In addition to the new characters, we can also reveal that all 10 episodes of The Last Kingdom Season 3 will be launched on Netflix like other Netflix Originals. In the past, the series was released on the BBC in the UK first, before coming to Netflix in the US.
More exciting news is that this release is worldwide and will be released on all Netflix locations eventually–dates to be confirmed. It seems the BBC has stepped away from The Last Kingdom.
