Supernatural: Will Dean be able to embrace the new life in the bunker
Dean has been hiding out in his room in Supernatural. Now it’s time for him to come out, but will he be able to embrace his new life in the bunker.
The hunter’s life is a solitary one on Supernatural. Apart from the odd partner now and then, most hunters will deal with a case on their own. Sam and Dean are a little different. Growing up together, the two are used to hunting together.
However, ask Dean Winchester to work with other hunters and he isn’t always that friendly. There have been the odd cases where he has. In the earlier years, we’d see him run into a hunter he’d worked with in the past and Bobby, Rufus, and the odd other hunter has turned up now and then. But for the most part, he’s chosen to work alone or with Sam and Castiel — the people he trusts.
And that’s why the latest predicament in the bunker will be hard for him. He has a bunker full of people, hunters from another world. There are other people who know about demons, monsters, and creatures. Others with opinions and views on how to tackle the latest vampire, witch, or maybe even a wendigo.

On top of that, Dean said yes to Michael. We know he did it to protect Sam and Jack. As Sam points out, he did it to save his family, but it was a little selfish. He gave Michael the strongest vessel possible. The hunters who had been fighting against Michael for a decade or more were back to fighting him again in a different world, and this time at his strongest.

It’s no surprise there will be resentment and judgment. But at the same time, there are Dean’s trust issues; well, his lack of trust. He isn’t going to want to hunt with others. That’s clear by him hiding out in his room. Sam has been the leader of these hunters and got to know them and Dean is now on the outside, struggling to fit in.
Dean will likely struggle to fit in and he may struggle to embrace the new life in the bunker. But, we’ll give him time and eventually he’ll likely find someone to bond with. Hey, maybe he and his mom can finally bond a little better now that Mary has actually shown she cares about her sons.
