Will we see Michael!Dean return in Supernatural Season 14?
Michael has left the building. At least, that’s what it looks like on Supernatural Season 14, but is it for good? Will we see the archangel jump back into Dean’s body again?
Michael!Dean lasted all of two episodes in Supernatural Season 14. They were excellent episodes and the writers showcased the current villains, but he has now gone to possess someone else. Why? Well, we don’t know yet and that’s one of the big questions. My big question, though, is whether we’ll see Michael!Dean return.
Let’s be honest, if it wasn’t for the writing and the need to have the Winchester brothers back together, we’d never see Michael give up his sword. Unless it was a trap of some sort. Michael is too smart to leave the most powerful vessel he has. But too many viewers would tune out if Dean didn’t return early because there’s always that need to have the Winchesters back together right away.
But while Andrew Dabb has said that Michael is gone. He’s searching for another vessel and we have Dean back. For how long?

In Episode 3, we did get a look of a flashback of Michael!Dean against Kaia. There’s the chance that we’ll see more of this storyline in the upcoming weeks. We could get more flashes, bringing us more Michael!Dean without losing Dean.

Flashes of the past will also help explain why Michael has jumped ship. Is it something to do with Kaia knowing which vessel he was possessing? Would he want to trick her to get that spear? Only time will tell.
Alternatively, could we see Michael possess Dean in the future? Does angel possession work a little like inviting vampires into the home? Once you’ve said yes, does that permission remain? It wouldn’t be the first time Supernatural got icky with the consent issue but now could be a good time to bring it up.
