Why would Rowena consider not saving Jack on Supernatural?
Rowena doesn’t seem initially willing to help Jack on Supernatural Season 14, Episode 7. Could it be because Jack is Lucifer’s son? What will make her change her mind?
Rowena and Jack have met but it was likely more in passing. After Jack returned to his home world with the Apocalypse World hunters, Rowena left with Apocalypse Charlie on their road trip. One thing she will know is that Jack is Lucifer’s son. Is this why she doesn’t seem willing to help Sam initially in the Supernatural Season 14, Episode 7 promo?
Let’s be honest, Rowena doesn’t usually do things out of the goodness of her heart. There’s usually an ulterior motive but things have changed in recent months. Even when she helped at the end of the last season, part of her motivation was revenge against Lucifer.
So, it shouldn’t be too surprising that she initially doesn’t want to help Sam save Jack. What’s in it for her?

Not just that, but Jack is Lucifer’s son. She already knows this, but she’s not really had to deal with the news. Part of her could think that not saving Jack could be a blessing. Does she fear that he’ll end up like his father? What about the idea of getting another one over Lucifer by sacrificing his son?

It’s not a fair thought, but Rowena is human. She’s done some questionable things in the past and this could be another one of those times. It’s natural to want revenge on your enemies and initially, she wouldn’t think straight.
The sneak peek for the episode reveals just why she doesn’t want to help him. It is purely the fact he’s Lucifer’s son and he could be everything like his father. Just seeing the way Sam stumbles over his reasons why Jack is good is adorable. And you can tell he knew that Rowena would potentially say no when he had to use Dean as bait — but bless her for rushing right over when she thought it was Dean.
In the end, she’ll realize that Jack is an innocent in it all. We can expect to see Aunty Rowena show up in “Unhuman Nature,” according to The TV Addict. She’ll gain a soft spot for the young nephilim. To be honest, who doesn’t gain a soft spot for this kid? With his child-like wonder and Kelly-like kindness, it’s hard not to be drawn to him.
