Netflix gave us some of the best TV shows (and movies) of the year, but it also broke our hearts several times. Here are some of the biggest cancellations from the streaming giant.

We LOVE Netflix. It never fails to deliver amazing content, both movies and television shows. But it has broken our hearts, especially this year. 2018 has not been easy, the streaming service has kicked out one too many shows! They also scared us half to death when it was rumored Friends would be leaving Netflix. Thankfully, it’s not! But the same can’t be said about the following five shows.

Which series will you miss the most? Let us know in the comments! In the meantime, here are the biggest cancellations we cried over…

Everything Sucks

Just when we were falling in love with this 90s-set comedy, Netflix takes it away from us. The series was canceled on April 6. It all seemed to be going great. Everything Sucks was met with stellar reviews and viewers took to Twitter to praise the new show.

More from Netflix

Season 1 left us with a cliffhanger, so fans believed a second season would soon be announced. Needless to say, we were all shocked when Netflix axed it. According to the service, not enough people tuned in to watch.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

We’re not too sad over the cancellation of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Don’t get us wrong, we love it! It’s a ray of sunshine and nonstop giggles! But we do rather see a series end while it’s strong instead of it dragging on. And, at the very least, unlike Everything SucksKimmy Schmidt will receive a proper ending.

The comedy was canceled on May 3, but they are working on a finale movie to wrap up the story and please fans who have watched for four seasons.

Luke Cage

This cancellation had us shook. Luke Cage Season 2 had just concluded, leaving fans with so much to look forward to. And sure, Iron Fist‘s cancellation came first, but we’re not sorry to say we didn’t care about that one as much. Let’s face it, Iron Fist was simply not great, or popular. But Luke Cage? Even though Netflix doesn’t share ratings, #LukeCage became a trending topic on Twitter each time it premiered. It had a strong following. What a disappointment. Luke Cage was canceled on October 19.

American Vandal

No more Everything Sucks or Kimmy Schmidt, but we still have American Vandal to watch for laughs, right? Wrong. We were so wrong. After two seasons, Netflix kicked American Vandal out of its service on October 26, right after Luke Cage. It was a tough week for us. But nothing prepared us for what was coming next…

Daredevil

Why Netflix Gods, why?! After Luke Cage, we did have a little bit of fear in our hearts for the fate of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. But it’s the most popular Netflix-Marvel series, surely they wouldn’t dare mess with it! Well, think again.

On November 29, the internet broke with news that Netflix canceled Daredevil after three seasons. Why? We have no doubt it has something to do with Disney’s upcoming streaming service. But what, exactly? We’re not sure. One thing we do know, though, the truth will come out eventually.

dark. Next. 5 TV shows and movies to watch on Netflix in December

It’s a tremendous loss. Unless Luke Cage and Daredevil (and it’s a safe bet Jessica Jones is next to go, followed by The Punisher) have the same cast if the series is moved to Disney +, we simply don’t want it! Charlie Cox is the only Daredevil we care to see, same goes for Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones.
