Emily Swallow cast in Disney+ Star Wars series
Disney+’s streaming service is bringing The Mandalorian as part of the Star Wars universe. Supernatural’s own Emily Swallow has been cast in a role.
If you feel like you don’t get enough of some of the Supernatural guest stars, Disney+ is going to be a chance to see one of them. Emily Swallow, who is best known as Amara (or The Darkness, depending on the mood she’s in), will be in the new Star Wars series titled The Mandalorian, according to StarWars.com.
Very little is currently known about the series. In fact, none of the characters are known, except for the fact that Game of Thrones‘ Pedro Pascal will play the titular role, the lone gunfighter in the galaxy’s outer reaches.

Swallow joins the likes of Breaking Bad‘s Giancarlo Esposito, American Gods‘ Omid Abtahi, and Deadpool‘s Gina Carano. Jon Favreau will executive produce and write the series, which is currently in production. Star Wars: The Clone Wars‘ Dave Filoni will also direct the first episode, while also serving as an executive producer. This is going to be one strong series for Star Wars fans.
With so much that’s remained quiet, it’s hard to guess the type of role that Swallow will take on. One thing that is for certain, she won’t be walking around in that gorgeous black dress and be able to take down an archangel with the click of her fingers.
Will this affect her chances of returning to Supernatural? It could make some things difficult. The Mandalorian has only just started production and Supernatural Season 14 is still filming. In fact, the fantasy series is only just wrapping filming on the 13th episode (the 300th of the series) and will be off for a Christmas break. Unless she’s back in the next few episodes straight after the winter break, it may be hard to bring Amara back for now depending on schedules.
However, note that it is just tricky. It’s not impossible. Filming schedules and her role in both shows could allow for her to return. I know many would love to see Amara come back to sought out the mess that is Michael!
The Mandalorian will be available on Disney’s upcoming streaming service. This isn’t set to launch until late 2019, but The Mandalorian is likely to be one of the first productions for the service.
