Before The Conners went on break, the beloved family had a lot of newcomers join the cast. Specifically, John Goodman’s character found himself being hit on by the Sons of Anarchy alumn Katy Sagal. That’s not all though, the series also brought us Matthew Broderick in a recurring role as Jackie’s boyfriend and a brief appearance by Justin Long as one of Darlene’s flings.

We also saw Becky grapple with the realization that she is pregnant which forced her to weigh the options of raising a child or giving the baby to a gay couple. By the end of it all, Becky decided she needed to have faith she too can be a good mother. Plus, Darlene found romance with her new boss played by an extremely charming Jay R. Ferguson.

On tonight’s episode, the synopsis describes that Dan makes the mistake of filling for D.J.’s vending machine job and thus accidentally sustaining an on-the-job injury. No explanation of what happens but I’m guessing a vending machine falls on the poor guy. Becky will also stir the pot by confiding in Jackie’s longtime rival.

"When Dan gets injured on the job covering D.J.’s vending machine route, the choice to sue the company could lead to D.J. getting fired. Meanwhile, Jackie is appalled when Lecy seeks life coaching from her nemesis and No. 1 competitor, Rita Silver."

The clip below shows some of the conflict building between Jackie and Becky over the fact Becky decided to pursue advice from her enemy.
