Straight after Supernatural Episode 300, the promo for Episode 14 was released. Here are the top takeaways from the Supernatural Season 14, Episode 14 trailer.

What can we expect from the next episode of Supernatural Season 14? Of course, we’re all still reeling from the excitement of Episode 300, but all eyes are on 301. Now we have a trailer to get an idea of what to expect.

If you haven’t caught up on the latest episodes of Supernatural, there are going to be some spoilers in this piece. There’s nothing from Episode 300, but there will be some from a couple of the previous episodes.

Here’s the trailer before we get into the details.

Are you ready to see what takeaways we can grab? Here are the top five.

5. We’ve got a month-long wait

More from Supernatural

If you’re expecting a new episode of the series next week, there’s some bad news. There’s no new Supernatural for a month. Yes, a month!

One thing the promo makes clear is that there are no new episodes until March 7. There are not even any reruns for the next two Thursdays. Next week there’s a Valentine’s Day special and the week after that is a Charmed rerun.

We knew a break was coming. With just seven episodes left and a finale date of April 25 set, it’s clear that there needed to be a month-long break somewhere. Many of us likely expected March like is usually the case, but they’re going for February instead.

4. Rowena is back

All eyes are on the guest stars for the episode and it’s Rowena in the next episode. Things don’t look great for her, as she realizes that Jack could be evil after all. She doesn’t have a lot of love for Lucifer anymore, but she had warmed to Jack.

What’s gone on for Rowena to think about killing Jack? Has this got something to do with his soul-sucking magic? And that leads us onto the next takeaway.

3. Jack is still using his powers

The more Jack uses his powers, the more his soul is sucked away. It’s possible that he could live without a soul, but things aren’t going to be great for him. With bits of his soul gone, he’ll lose his humanity.

Yes, we’ve seen people live without souls before. Donatello is managing it and Sam was an excellent hunter without his. However, without Jack’s soul, we’re possibly left with the Lucifer inside him and that’s not good for the world at all.

2. Rowena could be at risk

As one of our own writers has pointed out, things aren’t looking great for Rowena. As she tells Jack she should have killed him, he uses his powers to do something…kill her, maybe?

Jack isn’t a killer but this doesn’t seem like the usual Jack. Without his soul, he could lose the goodness and become the thing that he doesn’t really want to be. Would the Winchesters have to kill him?

Of course, Jack could find a way to just get her temporarily out of his way. Or he may have found a way to sustain his life force. And that brings us to the final takeaway.

1. Jack’s looking for something

I know the takeaways have all been about Jack and Rowena. There’s no synopsis to work with for Supernatural Season 14, Episode 14 yet so there’s barely anything involving the Winchesters or even Castiel. The trailer is about the two other characters.

During the trailer, Jack picks up a vial from somewhere inside the Men of Letters Bunker. What exactly is he looking for? Could this be something to help protect his soul? Maybe he’s looking for something that will get rid of Rowena. He could even be just looking for whatever the most recent case of the week is.

Either way, Jack is looking for something and it’s going to be exciting to find out what.
