The reality shows on Mar. 24 saw falls in both their metrics. Meanwhile, Good Girls rebounds in the demo and Madam Secretary got a boost in both figures. Here are the Sunday TV ratings.

It was a mixed night across the board on Mar. 24. With CBS’ schedule thrown off with March Madness, it saw a mix of ups and downs. However, NBC saw a bit of success with Good Girls rebounding in the demo and The CW fared okay. Here’s a look at the Sunday TV ratings.

With a leading from March Madness, 60 Minutes certainly saw the best boost of the night. The demo was up by 82% and total audience up by 11%, pulling in the highest numbers outside of the sporting event.

Despite a change to the schedule because of the March Madness overrun (God Friended Me‘s Twitter quickly got the message out with all new timings for all shows on CBS on Sunday), God Friended Me saw boosts in both the demo and total audience. It won for scripted dramas in both numbers, seeing an impressive 23% increase in the demo. There’s no need to worry, of course, since the series has already been renewed for a second season.

The shows that should arguably worry are the unscripted programs. American Idol and World of Dance both fell in the figures. The only thing saving these shows is the fact that they remain to bring in more viewers than scripted shows. However, ABC and NBC may look at other unscripted programs to give the networks a boost on Sundays if they keep falling.

FOX had a good night in the demo figures for all the new episodes of its comedies. The SimpsonsBob’s Burgers, and Family Guy all saw small boosts. However, total audiences for all three were down. There’s only Family Guy that we’re waiting for a renewal from and this should come. We’ll just have to wait and see.

The CW fared okay. Supergirl saw a small 6% boost to the total audience and Charmed saw a 5% boost to the demo. However, they were both down in the alternate figures respectively. Supergirl‘s demo drop takes it to a joint-low for the season, while Charmed‘s total audience drop takes it below 0.6 million and a season-low.

Fortunately, both CW shows have been renewed. The question will be whether they keep their Sunday night slot. It’s proving not to be as successful as The CW would have hoped — and taking the show off for various sporting fixtures and awards shows wouldn’t have helped with that. I always thought Charmed would have fared better on a Thursday after Supernatural and it will be interesting to see if it gets moved to a midseason lineup next season.

Good Girls had an exceptionally good night in the demo, as it rebound by 60% in the demo to see a 0.9 rating. This was following a 0.8 rating in World of Dance before it, and the promo showing Beth and Rio finally getting together may just have helped. The total audience was down by 13%, though. All eyes will be on how the Netflix figures do when the show lands.

Finally, Madam Secretary saw a boost in both metrics, with the demo up by 32%. The total audience was up by almost 8%. There’s still a worry that this may be too little too late, as the show remains CBS’ lowest-rated shows. However, on average, it’s ratings are only 6% down in the demo and 9% down in the total audience from Madam Secretary Season 4, offering a saving grace. It will depend on whether CBS thinks it has another show that could perform better in the final slot on a Sunday night.
