While we are saying goodbye to Supernatural in the 2019-2020 season, we’ve got a lot of projects from SPN Family alums in the works. One of those is Felicia Day’s Wonder World, an animated comedy coming to Freeform.

Last week was a hard week for many of us. Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins announced that Supernatural Season 15 would be the last. And we’re still trying to deal with the news. The good thing is that SPN Family alums are working on projects, and one of those will come from Felicia Day.

Freeform announced on Mar. 27 that there would be a new animated comedy, Wonder World, from Day. The younger-skewed network, owned by Disney, has been paving the way for diversity and inclusivity for a long time and this is going to be another one of those projects.

More from Supernatural

Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Aminder Dhaliwal, Wonder World looks at the world if there were no longer any men. They’ve become extinct and now women need to lean on each other in the hopes of survival. There’s a search for love and the ability to survive without men around them — after all, we know men are needed for one part of recreation.

Our own Charlie will executive produce the pilot episode. It’s not yet been picked up to series but it stands a good chance. Freeform will want to get into the animated sphere, an area that it’s not attempted to move into yet but one that Netflix, Hulu, and FOX are seeing success in.

Wonder World isn’t the only animated comedy coming to Freeform. American Horror Story‘s Emma Roberts is going to executive produce one called Beaches, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
