Supernatural Season 14, Episode 19 synopsis: Spoilers for Episode 18!

The synopsis for Supernatural Season 14, Episode 19 is out. Caution: there are spoilers for what could happen in Episode 18!

Every now and then, The CW and Supernatural PR don’t quite get the synopsis right. These synopses are shared a few weeks in advance of the episode, usually before the previous episode airs. And every now and then there can be spoilers, which looks the case for the Supernatural Season 14, Episode 19 synopsis.

And I’m stating this now to make sure those who don’t want to get an idea as to how Episode 18 will go is aware. There’s a line that suggests how things will go between Dean, Sam, and Castiel. As you know from the promo of the episode, Dean and Castiel aren’t on the best of terms.

Tensions are high right now. Jack is without a soul and it’s not clear whether Mary is alive. By the looks of the promo for next week, Rowena could also be in danger. Jack is struggling with who he is and how to feel now that he doesn’t have a soul — will be become Lucifer?

The Supernatural Season 14, Episode 19 synopsis doesn’t give us too many answers about Jack, either. All it tells us is that there are deaths with a biblical element. This certainly suggests that Jack is up to something, and something not good!

However, the synopsis also tells us that Dean, Sam, and Castiel are on the road for these killings. Does that mean the three are on speaking terms? Will Dean forgive Castiel after the fight in Episode 18? Of course, it could just be well written and we find out Castiel is investigating everything alone, running into the Winchesters along the way.

I’m still concerned about the title, “Jack in the Box.” When the titles were first revealed, it suggested that Jack would be the one to go into the Ma’lak box. That could still be the case. Will he go in willingly while the Winchesters figure out a way to get his soul back? Or will the Winchesters believe that the box is the only way to help Jack right now?

It could also mean that the Winchesters have to find a way to put the current Jack back in the box. More of a figure of speech and play on words than anything else. I guess we’ll have to wait to find out!
