From working with Team Evil, to re-forging Glorious, to facing devastating loss, multiple characters confront major ethical dilemmas in @ShadowhuntersTV Season 3, Episode 19. Here’s what you need to know (spoiler-free) about #AkuCintaKamu:

Clary made the shocking decision to join Jonathan and turn against Jace and the others at the Institute… though she didn’t have too much control in the matter. The life-force twinning rune has become powerful enough to where Jace can no longer help break Clary away from its affects. Despite Isabelle’s efforts to inject Jonathan with the serum containing nano-particles of Heavenly Fire, the team realized that the star ingredient wasn’t potent enough to have an effect.

In an absolutely heartbreaking turn of events in last week’s episode, Alec ended his relationship with Magnus (it hurts to even type the words) as part of a secret deal to get Asmodeus to restore Magnus’ magic and immortality. The break-up scene was especially emotional because the audience could see that neither of them wanted the relationship to end and that the consequences would be painful and life-changing for both characters.

With Luke out of prison and committed to helping Clary, he’s going to be an asset moving forward in Isabelle’s plan to create a stronger serum from the Heavenly Fire. At the same time, Maia will be taking steps forward to bring The Jade Wolf back to its operational condition and do what’s right as the new Alpha.

In Shadowhunters Season 3, Episode 19, Jace will be going after Clary and Jonathan to keep them both safe following a Clave-issued kill order, while most of the other characters focus on the compelling and supernatural nature of the Heavenly Fire serum. But for Magnus, who is now without Alec and without a place to call home, memories that were once the pinnacle of his happiness are tragically now the cause of his pain.

As always, we will never reveal any unannounced plot spoilers or dialogue, but anything from the official photos, sneak peeks and released trailers are fair game to discuss. Here’s what you need to know about Shadowhunters Season 3, Episode 19, how “Aku Cinta Kamu” is a driving force for multiple characters, and why the story sets up an epic conclusion for the following episode, which was previously the Shadowhunters Season 3B finale.
