The identity of Bad Bishop is revealed on the latest episode of PLL: The Perfectionists. Let’s recap the five biggest takeaways from Season 1, Episode 8.

It’s dead week at BHU on this week’s episode of The Perfectionists and everyone is under more stress than usual and none more so than Dylan, Ava and Caitlin. Caitlin is doing her best to secure her dream internship, Dylan is struggling with his music after doing further nerve damage to his hand and Ava has to team-up with Zach for a school project.

Time to dig into the five major takeaways from the episode.

1. Romance may be blossoming between Zach and Ava.

This was sort of inevitable. Zach is a little like the Toby of this show, in a way. He and Ava are still butting heads when they’re forced to work together on a creative art project where they have to identify the painting a puzzle piece is from. Initially, Zach is combative and blows Ava off. She even assumes he’s lying when he can’t work with her due to work.

Except when she visits him at the coffee shop, she’s told his shift isn’t until later that evening. After leaving him an angry voicemail, she finds out he was at work – a second job doing sanitation. Clearly he is strapped for cash. Feeling guilty, Ava takes initiative and finishes the project. It was a collaborative effort, sort of, since Zach had given her the idea for the final answer. The two manage to make amends and part on amicable, potentially even flirtatious, terms.

2. Mason is Bad Bishop.

More from Teen Dramas

I admit this revelation threw me for a loop. I figured it out when there was a seemingly random scene of Mason and Mona meeting together. It didn’t serve much purpose to the greater plot but then Mona pieces together Bad Bishop’s identity when he comments about “art meeting math” or some other smart-dude mumbo jumbo.

She goes to visit him in the music room, a place Mason goes to de-stress, and they recognize each other, just in time to start a new game. Does this mean Mason/Mona is going to be a thing soon?

3. Caitlin is trying to get an internship under Senator Hastings.

I admit I gasped a little when I heard that name. I wonder if Lesley Fera will ever guest star? Though she might not have a reason to since Caitlin sort of bombed her interview. Turns out, they weren’t really looking to see how book smart she was, that’s something anyone could see.

Her familial connections had already gone a long way towards securing her the interview but the proctor wanted to know more about the real Caitlin. Who knew deciding between pizza and tacos could be so complicated?

Ultimately, Caitlin does get a do-over of sorts. She confesses she prepared by memorizing facts and foreign policy, not by doing any deep soul-searching. Could she still get her internship? It remains to be seen.
