After tonight’s episode, we’re onto the finale. Can you believe we’ve had 16 episodes of the season already? Tonight is going to be as crazy as usual with two bombs going off. It’s a serial bomber and it will be up to Athena to figure everything out.

However, that’s not all that will happen. Eddie gets some surprising news from Susan. It looks like she’s also going to be a victim in one of the bombs, which could change what she actually wants from her husband.

And then there’s Maddie. She’s going to contemplate her life in the call center. I actually hope that she’s going to go back into nursing now that her ex-husband is out of the way. She has helped so many people over the phone but I feel now that her life is happier, she’s going to want to go back into the ER. She knows there’s a little more safety there then there used to be.
Of course, this opens up the chance of having another person within the call center. I don’t think Connie Britton will return to 9-1-1, so we won’t get Abby back. However, I do hope we continue to see the life there. With some of the others taking more of a front row seat so we may focus more on them for Season 3.
Yes, there is going to be a third season. 9-1-1 was renewed by FOX at the same time as The Resident. Both shows will likely remain on FOX in the fall.
