Supernatural Season 15: Multiple characters set to return

Supernatural took to the SDCC stage for the final time this weekend. The season will see multiple characters returning, including one from Season 5.

We knew that the final SDCC appearance for Supernatural was going to be emotional. The panel became an emotional support group for fans and cast members alike. However, the press rooms gave us much more information about what to expect in Supernatural Season 15.

During a press interview with Andrew Dabb, we quickly learned that there are plans to bring back a few familiar faces. With this being the final season, that news isn’t all that surprising. Nor is the news that Rowena would be one of those familiar faces. Considering she’s been an important part of the series for the last few years and a friend to the Winchesters, it was always going to be natural to bring her back for the final season.

But what about the other familiar faces? There’s some good news for one of them. It looks like we’re finally getting answers/some closure. Jake Abel is set to reprise his role as Adam Milligan. You’ll remember him better as the half-brother that is currently stuck in Lucifer’s Cage. Does this mean the Winchesters are finally going to save him or will he be connected to God’s big plan in some way?

The other familiar face is going to be intriguing. Shoshanna Stern is set to return as Eileen, the deaf hunter/Men of Letters legacy who was raised by a hunter after the death of her parents. She and Sam connected on a deeper level and many fans were outraged by her death in Season 12 at the hands of a hellhound control by Ketch.

How could Eileen come back? That’s something up for debate right now. Considering God brought the souls out of Hell, there’s definitely room for souls in Heaven to escape. That move opened the possibility of many characters to return from the dead.
