September 2019 is bringing many new shows and movies to Netflix! Here are 10 not to miss.

With each new month, Netflix rolls out new content. This is true for each week, but it is the start of a new month that gets us the most excited as the streaming giant reveals what they have in store on a massive list. To see all the new TV shows and movies headed your way, check out this list! For a shorter list of only 10 movies and shows to watch on Netflix in Sept. 2019, read on!

The month of September is strangely not offering many movies to subscribers. You’ll find our recommendations there short. However, the streaming service more than makes up for that in TV! There are several new shows and seasons approaching.

Below, we are presenting 5 movies and 5 TV shows you need to watch in September. If anything surprisingly drops that is not on the list, no worries, we’ll keep you posted!

Shows to watch on Netflix in Sept. 2019

The Chef Show: Volume 2If you enjoyed the first season, you’ll love what Jon Favreau and award-winning Chef Roy Choi have in store. Or, should we say, the kitchen? Favreau’s celebrity guests this coming season include Seth Rogen. Who you do you hope makes an appearance? The Chef Show: Volume 2 drops on Netflix Sept. 13.

The Ranch Season 7: The seventh part of The Ranch debuts Sept. 13 and follows Colt  juggling (or trying to) work and his personal life. Season 8 is expected to be the final season, so a lot will be happening this season to prepare. Don’t miss it!

The Politician Season 1: Payton Hobart (Ben Platt) is a wealthy and privileged student from Santa Barbara, California. His goal in life is to be President of the United States, and he isn’t allowing anything or anyone to get in his way. But first, he needs to be elected as Student Body President at Saint Sebastian High School, and that’s proving to be tougher than he originally thought.

More from Netflix

Out of all the shows on this list, I am definitely the most excited for The Politician. The series also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton among other. It premieres on Netflix Sept. 27.

Unbelievable Season 1: Premiering Sept. 13 is the first season of Unbelievable stars Toni Collette and Merritt Wever as two detectives investigating the case of a young teen (Kaitlyn Dever) who reportedly lied about a rape. Unbelievable is based on the book A False Report: A True Story of Rape in America. This series will certainly have a lot of people talking.

The I-Land Season 1: Ten young adults, and complete strangers to each other, are abandoned on a paradise island with no belongings, money, or memory of how they got there. They quickly learn they must work together to escape as danger approaches. The series premieres Sept. 12 and stars Kate Bosworth, Natalie Martinez, and Alex Pettyfer.
