The end of Season 16 delivered a shocking twist—one that we hoped for but one that we didn’t fully expect to happen. After the case was wrapped, Gibbs had an intruder. That intruder just happened to be Ziva, coming to warn Gibbs that he was in trouble.

There were no “hellos” and no time to explain why she’s been underground for so long. Now it’s time to get some of those answers. It’s clear that someone has been after her and now they’re turning attention to the people she cares about. Fortunately, it looks like they’re going after Gibbs, who can at least handle himself, instead of her daughter.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team will find out that Ziva is alive, and it’s going to certainly cause tension. For Kasie and Torres, it will just be a shock. However, Jimmy and McGee will feel hurt and betrayed. Part of me thinks that they’ll understand why Ziva faked her death and the feel of betrayal will be aimed at Bishop.
After all, Bishop has known for a while that Ziva is still alive. She found out when she started looking through Ziva’s belongings at the office that had been rented. It’s understandable that McGee, at the very least, will be hurt that nobody trusted him to know.
