Meanwhile, Sam goes through Bobby’s contact book, wondering if they should let anyone know about Bobby’s death. As they argue about the idea, Bobby’s phone rings and it’s up to Sam to answer it. That quickly turns into a case, as a young girl says that she was specifically asked to talk to Bobby Singer. That’s who her dad told her to call for, and when she can’t talk to Bobby, she hangs up.
While Sam wants to check out the case, Dean has another concern. He hasn’t heard from Frank, who is currently checking up on Bobby’s numbers too. So, the two split up to deal with their own cases.

Sam heads out to find the girl
It doesn’t take long for Sam to figure out who the girl was based on the phone call. Krissy Chambers is the 14-year-old daughter of Lee, a hunter. Krissy is sure that her father is a traveling salesman, but she hasn’t heard from him in five days. Sound familiar?
Lee had been on the hunt for a vetala. There is some good news. Vetalas feed on their victims for days, so if Lee was caught, there’s a chance that he’ll still be alive. Sam heads to the diner where Lee had tracked the monster, only expecting one because they’re supposed to be loner monsters. Instead, there’s a second, and Sam is taken by the monsters.
Fortunately, Sam had left Dean a voicemail, but it would take time for Dean to get that.
Dean finds Frank
Meanwhile, Dean heads to Frank’s house. Seeing that it’s cleared out, Dean is concerned. But Frank is still there. After an initial standoff, Frank takes Dean to another location—and RV with all the surveillance and computer equipment. He’s staying out of dodge of the Leviathans.
It turns out the numbers weren’t complete. Bobby didn’t get a chance to write all of them down, but they translate to the first set of GPS coordinates to a field in Wisconsin. It turns out Dick Roman’s business bought land there.
When they get to the field, they see security cameras. This is perfect for Frank, since he can hack into that system and watch the place.
Dean heads on the hunt
Frank makes it clear that he doesn’t need Dean around, so sends him off on the hunt. Dean notes that there’s something off about the description of vetalas in the voicemail, but before he can note it all down, he gets a call from Krissy. Sam has gone missing.
Sure enough, Sam is where the vetalas are holding him, and Lee is there too. There are other men who are all dead. Lee, who is close to death, shares that the men tend to die after three or four feedings. Lee knows that the next feed will kill him, but Sam manages to provoke the vetala to feed on him instead.
Dean is on a mission to save his brother. Because Krissy (who has now learned the truth about her dad) burned all the research and memorized it, he has to take her along on the journey. This is when Dean can note something he already knew: vetalas hunt in pairs. He hunted two when Sam was at college.
Despite trying to keep her out of it when they find where the vetalas are keeping their victims, Krissy’s attempts to save her dad throw Dean off the hunt. Fortunately, the group manages to get out of the situation, killing the two vetalas and saving Lee.
On the way back to Rufus’ cabin, Sam and Dean agree that they should work. Sam wants to work to get through the loss, but Dean wants revenge.
