Supernatural Season 15 theory: Will Sam die if God does?
We’ve learned that Sam and God are connected. Right now, the Winchesters can use that to their advantage, but is it bad for Supernatural’s end?
There are plenty of theories floating around about how Supernatural will end. Once upon a time, the only way it could end was with the death of one or both brothers. Is that the case now? Well, it looks like it might involve the death of one.
Sam shot God with the Equalizer during the Season 14 finale. Of course, this gun wouldn’t shoot bullets, but a piece of the shooter’s soul. Should one die, the other would too. However, Sam didn’t kill God, and shot him in the shoulder instead. That led to Sam getting a wound on his shoulder, as well as a connection to the Almighty.

We’ve now had the confirmation that the two are connected. Sam can see into God’s alternate worlds, while God is weakening due to the link to Sam. While Team Free Will can currently use this to its advantage, there’s something someone needs to consider.
What happens when God is dead?
Sam is connected to God. Is he connected to God’s life force? If God dies right now, even without the use of the Equalizer (which is no more), will that kill Sam Winchester? It would certainly make sense due to their link, right?

I have a feeling that God or Sam will be injured in some way during the midseason finale. That will lead to the other one being injured. With that injury comes the realization that there’s more than just a few soul connections between the two characters.
That can then set up the next stage of the story. Dean and Castiel will need to find a way to unlike Sam and God, which would then make God back to full strength and harder/impossible to kill. Will Sam then decide to make the ultimate sacrifice once again, just like he did in Season 5?
