Is there any hope for Devon and Nadine on The Resident?
The downside of being a princess is not really having a life outside of duty. Is there any hope for Devon and Nadine on The Resident?
Devon and Nadine are so sweet together on The Resident. It’s hard not to want to see them succeed; to have a beautiful love story. However, it looks over before it’s even really begun. Is there any hope for the two?
Things aren’t working in their favor. During The Resident Season 3, Episode 17, Nadine broke the bad news to Devon. She has to go back to her home country. Her subjects expect her to be there. The downside of being a princess is not getting a say in your life.

She did make an offer to Devon. He could come to her country. Her dad would get him a great job and they could be together. But that isn’t something Devon really wants to do. He’s happy at Chastain and in his home. He doesn’t want to head out to a country that he doesn’t know.

Does it mean no hope?
It looks like this love story could be over. Neither can or are willing to move. While it takes compromise, not everyone is willing or able to completely change their lives. It’s a big decision for Nadine and Devon to make their relationship work.
Remember that this is only in the early stages of their relationship, too. They’ve only really got to know each other over a few episodes of The Resident, which would be a few months. It’s very early stages to even consider moving to another country for one another.
Sometimes you do have to take a leap of faith, but this is a big one. Devon will be moving to a country that he doesn’t know and will have no friends. He’s at the mercy of Nadine and her family, and should something go wrong in the relationship, he could be left to return home with nothing. And there’s no guarantee there would be a job waiting for him afterward.
They need to see how their relationship works through long distance. I wouldn’t’ say there’s no hope, but let’s be realistic about this whole relationship.
