Ryan Murphy’s latest Netflix original series Hollywood, starring Darren Criss, has finally arrived to stream. Watch the complete season now.

After making his Netflix original series debut last year with the dark comedy The Politician, Ryan Murphy and his trusted team return with the dazzling limited series Hollywood. Murphy’s reputation for creating binge-able TV shows speaks for itself, and his newest effort should be no different from his most popular series. Thankfully, Hollywood is now available to stream on Netflix.

Since being announced last year, Hollywood has generated a ton of positive buzz. Created by Murphy and Ian Brennan (two-thirds of the trio responsible for Glee, Scream Queens, and The Politician), the period piece offers a revisionist history on Hollywood’s Golden Age as a group of aspiring actors and filmmakers arrive in Tinseltown to “make it” amid the various un-jumpable hoops.

Hollywood tackles the unfair systems and biases that once, and still do, pervaded through the film industry in terms of race, gender, and sexuality. The limited series shines a bright light on these dated power dynamics and shares a vision of what the industry could have looked like had these weaknesses been dismantled and remedied.

Clearly, the series has something to say, and it couldn’t have a better cast to say it. Emmy winner Darren Criss leads a star-studded cast that includes The Politician breakout David Corenswet, Jeremy Pope, Laura Harrier, Joe Mantello, Dylan McDermott, Jake Picking, Holland Taylor, Samara Weaving, Jim Parsons, and Patti LuPone. The season also features guest spots from Maude Apatow, Harriet Harris, Michelle Krusiec, Queen Latifah, Rob Reiner, and Mira Sorvino.

As of this writing, Hollywood has garnered mix reception from critics, but how the audience reacts will be the biggest test. Murphy’s series are often met with polarizing reviews and division among viewers, so hearing that his latest output is following suit isn’t particularly surprising. However, the cast and creative team are much too talented for this eight-episode limited series to be a total misfire. There’s always something to love in Murphy’s niche creations, and we’ll surely find it.
