5. “Broadcast Wagstaff School News”

Kicking off the list is an episode most of us should remember fondly. Airing in the midst of Season 3, “Broadcast Wagstaff School News” started the poopy parade. The episode follows Tina as she becomes a part of the Wagstaff School News team. After things don’t work out in her favor, Tina takes it upon herself to find a real news story. She finds out there is a “Mad Pooper” around the school who won’t stop pooping in random places.

Despite a smear campaign being placed against her, Tina is able to get down to the truth. We find out that Zeke is the “Mad Pooper.” For Tina, this seems like just a normal day at school, but for most of us, probably not.

Either way, it’s such a unique concept and one that not a lot of shows would undertake. Considering the show had barely gotten started, it’s clear the Bob’s Burgers writers aren’t afraid to push the boundaries. No list about poop and Bob’s Burgers would be complete without this episode.

4. “O.T.: The Outside Toilet”

Keeping with Season 3 episodes, the show didn’t waste any time in returning to toilet humor as the next episode served as the 15th episode. This episode is special for a multitude of reasons but let’s get into what happened. “O.T.: The Outside Toilet” follows Gene who after failing at being a flour-sack father ends up befriending a toilet he finds in the woods. The two become quick friends since the toilet talks and things are going great until “Max Flush” comes to retrieve the toilet.

Gene takes it upon himself to keep the toilet after from Max and decides to get it out of the woods to charge it. With the help of his siblings and friends, they end up saving the toilet and getting it charged. Eventually, the toilet is reunited with its true owner but not before Gene and it is able to say goodbye.

Let’s start off by saying Jon Hamm voices the toilet. Second, it’s probably the best Gene episode ever, and it parodied E.T. but in the weirdest way possible. This episode is beloved by Bob’s Burgers fans aplenty and even, known by those who haven’t ever watched the show. If that doesn’t prove how iconic a toilet can be, nothing will.
