Can’t get enough of Netflix’s Never Have I Ever? While we wait for another season, check out similar shows like Awkward and The Mindy Project.

Never have we ever been so obsessed with a teen romantic comedy series. From creators Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, Never Have I Ever premiered its first season on Netflix and quickly stole our hearts—as quickly as Paxton Hall-Yoshida got them racing. Undeniably, the world wants more.

Until the next chapter of Devi Vishwakumar’s (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) story unfolds in inevitable future seasons, including the hotly debated love triangle between Paxton (Darren Barnet) and Ben Gross (Jaren Lewison), there’s plenty more binge-watching to go around. For a similar smattering of heart, humor, and eye candy, here are five shows to watch if you’re obsessed with Never Have I Ever.

1. Awkward.

More from Netflix

If you loved the portrayal of the high school social structure in Never Have I Ever, MTV’s underrated teen sitcom Awkward. should be your next binge. The series centers on outcast Jenna Hamilton (Ashley Rickards) as she sleeps with the most popular guy in school, Matty McKibben (Beau Mirchoff), at summer camp, then suffers an unfortunate accident that’s misconstrued as a suicide attempt when she returns to school.

Awkward. navigates the teen angst, love triangles, and cringe-worthy moments that arise when you’re young and trying to grow up too fast.

All five seasons are available to stream on Hulu.

2. Jane the Virgin

At its core, Jane the Virgin operates like a romantic comedy, just like Never Have I Ever. The CW’s critical darling telenovela satire follows aspiring romance novelist Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) as she’s accidentally artificially inseminated during a routine gynecologist appointment.

Beyond incredible drama, ironic humor, and amazing guest stars (hello, Britney Spears!), Jane the Virgin also doesn’t shy away from representing the culture and customs of its multi-generational Latina characters, similarly to Devi’s Indian culture. Not to mention, Jane’s often caught between two love interests.

All five seasons are available to stream on Netflix.

3. Sex Education

An inciting incident in the latest Netflix hit series revolves around Devi’s decision to go out on a limb and ask Paxton Hall-Yoshida to have sex with her. Obviously, the series doesn’t beat around the bush when talking about sexuality, much like another Netflix hit, Sex Education.

Both series are kindred spirits in their depiction of teen sexuality and/or a teen’s pursuit of becoming sexual. The romantic dramedy follows, what do you know, socially awkward Otis Millburn (Asa Butterfield) as he uses his sex therapist mother’s (Gillian Anderson) expertise to help his fellow students and himself.

The first two seasons are available to stream on Netflix.

4. Dollface

Another aspect of Never Have I Ever that shouldn’t be minimized is the power of female friendship and its realistically complicated depiction onscreen. There’s no shortage of series that tackle this terrain, but Hulu’s newbie Dollface hits the nail on the head.

Kat Dennings stars as Jules Wiley, who finds herself single for the first time in years and faced with the necessity to reconnect with the friends she left behind in the span of her long relationship. Both series confront their lead character’s morality and loyalty toward their friends in difficult situations involving battered trust.

The first season is available to stream on Hulu.

5. The Mindy Project

Naturally, Never Have I Ever co-creator Mindy Kaling’s first creation offers similar laughs and rom-com feels. The Mindy Project starred Kaling as Dr. Mindy Lahiri, a brash but endearing unlucky-in-love OBGYN looking for her movie script ending.

Devi and Dr. L aren’t too different, and it’s impossible not to imagine Devi grows up to crash stolen bikes into swimming pools and lie in distress on her pink office rug. The protagonists and series share a decent amount of tonal overlap, making The Mindy Project a spiritual older sister to the hot new Netflix series.

All six seasons are available to stream on Hulu.
