With TV productions still shut down, The CW has planned ahead. Along with releasing its fall plan, it’s revealed a tentative plan for The Flash and more.

Like many workplaces, TV show productions came to a halt in March 2020. All networks were affected and still are. The CW has made a tentative plan for the TV shows unable to film, including The FlashCharmed, and more.

While releasing a very different fall 2020 schedule to the one we’re used to, Mark Pedowitz announced the likely plan for January 2021. Of course, this plan will only be put in place if shows can return to filming in time. There’s hope that by late summer or early fall, the bulk of shows can start filming again. If not, The CW is going to have to rethink things.

More from CW

For now, The Flash Season 7, Charmed Season 3, Black Lightning Season 4, and many more shows will premiere in January 2021. Two new shows will also premiere, Superman & Lois and Walker. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to see Jared Padalecki’s Walker taking over the Supernatural timeslot (which will return in fall 2020 to air its final episodes).

Charmed is returning to its form night, Sundays. It will air in the 9/8c timeslot. That will certainly make fans happy after worrying about the move to the “Friday night death slot.” Honestly, that term is losing its weight on The CW as Charmed isn’t the first show to move out of that timeslot (Supernatural!)

There are a few TV shows being put on hold for now. Dynasty Season 3 isn’t going to return in the new “fall” lineup. It’s being held for the new “midseason,” and is likely due to the ratings. Supergirl Season 6 is also being held due to Melissa Benoist’s pregnancy.

In the Dark and Roswell, New Mexico‘s new seasons will also be held for the midseason. New shows The Republic of Sarah and Kung Fu won’t premiere until the midseason either.
