Lady Gaga shines in A Star Is Born, opposite Bradley Cooper. She plays Ally, a struggling artist who meets musician Jackson. Jackson encourages Ally to follow her dreams, which leads to her becoming a star. However, as her star power rises, Jackson struggles with personal demons and alcoholism.
It’s a hard story to watch at parts, but it is a must.
9. Interview with a Vampire
Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and Kristen Dunst star in this excellent movie from the 1990s. You’ll see actors in roles you’ve never seen them in—and in some cases, will probably never seen them in again. Yes, I’m talking about Cruise!
Based on the novel by Ann Rice, Interview with a Vampire is exactly as it sounds. It’s a story of a vampire telling his tale of becoming the undead, figuring out a way to survive, loving and losing, and much more. Along the way, we find out what happened to those he has cared for in the past and why he wants his story to be told to the world.
