These are the three scariest moments from Bob’s Burgers Halloween episode

Before getting started, there will be spoilers from the Nov. 1 episode of Bob’s Burgers so beware!

Holidays are a big deal on Bob’s Burgers. No matter what holiday the Belchers are celebrating, they always do it big. Even though things normally go wrong, they make the most of it. While some might point to Christmas and Thanksgiving as a big holiday, Halloween is a huge deal for the Belchers. It’s mostly for the Belcher kids as their costumes are usually what makes the episode.

More from FOX

For Season 11, we’re going a different route with the episode. Rather than focus on costumes or candy, we’re going to be talking about scares. As evidenced by previous seasons, Bob’s Burgers isn’t afraid to feature some spooky or downright scary moments. While most Halloween episodes are fun and light-hearted, there are some spooky moments in each and it’s been that way since the beginning.

In honor of Season 11’s “Heartbreak Hotel-oween,” I thought it would be fun to pick three of the spookiest/scariest moments from the episode. Even if the episode isn’t overwhelmingly scary, it will be a fun way to talk about the episode.

Let’s break down the three creepiest moments from “Heartbreak Hotel-oween.”

Snubbing the kids on Halloween

The first creepy moment from this year’s Halloween with the Belchers starts with the kids getting snubbed on Halloween. The entire episode centers around Louise wanting to get revenge on the house that snubbed them. However, the episode ends up being focused on the hotel but since the kids love candy, it ends up being spooky and scary for them.

In previous years, we’ve watched the lengths the kids have gone to get candy and with Louise as the mastermind of the plan, it’s no surprise she would want to get some cold-hearted revenge.

Dolores shares her plan

As for the second moment, it’s hard to pinpoint just one but it has to be the kids’ introduction to Dolores and her very own masterplan. In the episode, we find out that Dolores is trying to conjure up her cheating ex-boyfriend and the kids quickly get enthralled in the idea. Seeing her use one of the burgers to conjure up Roger makes it all the more creepy.

As for the kids, they’re split on Dolores’ reasons for wanting to contact Roger. For Tina, she wants to prove Roger is innocent while Louise wants her to send him to hell.

Eventually, the kids are able to put the pieces of the puzzle together and figure out what really happened. However, the final creepy moment in the episode comes before that and it’s when Tina figures out the mystery. She quickly realizes the person under the I Dream of Jeannie costume is a man thus proving Dolores wrong.

While it might be creepy or scary, it’s definitely shocking so it still counts. Oddly enough, it’s pretty scary that Roger died from a peanut allergy he didn’t even know he had.

The Bob’s Burgers-only plot

As for a Halloween episode, this one was certainly out of the ordinary. The Belchers are known for getting into shenanigans and this year was no different. Even though it wasn’t nearly as creepy as in previous years, the plot of the episode was something that could only happen in the Bob’s Burgers world.

Even the plotline with Bob donating blood was scary at times. Despite Halloween being over, the episode was still fun and gave us a little bit of the spooky season to hold onto.
