It’s almost time for yet another important awards show in Hollywood! The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards will air on our television screens in September. Though the show will be on a different night this year.

This year, the ceremony has been moved from its usual Sunday night broadcast to a Monday. This is to accommodate NBC’s Sunday Night Football coverage. In recent years, viewership for awards shows has gone down overall. I think moving it to a Monday night isn’t going to help things. But I guess we’ll see!

After two years of having to set up the ceremony at other venues due to the pandemic, the Emmys will be back to their usual hosting home at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles this year.

So what day and time should we mark on our calendars?

What time does the Emmys 2022 start on NBC?

The 74th Emmy Awards are scheduled for Monday, Sept. 12. The three-hour coast-to-coast telecast will take place from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT. You can watch the show live on NBC, or stream it on Peacock for the first time.

Also a first is the one taking on emcee duties. Kenan Thompson will take to the Emmys stage this year! Like any awards show, unfortunately, there are some snubs when it comes to nominations. But there are also some great shows and celebs who are getting the recognition they deserve.

HBO Max’s Succession swept up the most nominations, earning a total of 25. The company got another big hit with HBO’s Euphoria receiving 16 noms. Netflix’s Squid Game and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building are among other series to get on the list.

For a full list of nominees, you can visit the Emmys’ website.

The 74th Primetime Emmy Awards premieres Monday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
